AI-Generated Content Disclosure

Chitra (“Chitra”, “we”, “us”) uses artificial intelligence to create the poster images, captions and hashtags you generate in the app. This page explains what that means, how we label AI-generated content, and what we ask of you when you share it. It is published to meet India's Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Amendment Rules, 2026 on synthetically generated information.

When you describe a post, our systems send your description — together with your brand kit (business name, colours, logo, tone) if you have set one up — to third-party AI models that write the caption and draw the image. No human designer draws your poster. The output is synthetic: it is generated by a machine, not photographed or hand-made.

Every image Chitra produces carries the mark in three ways:

• A visible label. The words “Made with Chitra AI” are printed in the bottom-left corner of every generated image, in every language.
• Embedded metadata. Each image file carries standard provenance data (IPTC Digital Source Type “trainedAlgorithmicMedia”, creator tool and credit) in its XMP and EXIF fields, so platforms and tools can identify it as AI-generated even without the visible label.
• A note in the app. Below every caption, the app reminds you that the image and caption were created with AI and asks you to review them before sharing.

You are responsible for what you publish. Before you share a Chitra post, please:

• check that the text, prices, dates and claims are correct for your business — AI can make mistakes;
• do not crop out, cover or remove the “Made with Chitra AI” label or strip the metadata;
• do not use Chitra to create content that impersonates a real person, misleads customers, or breaks the rules of the platform you post on.
